Russian nutritionist Dr. Mikhail Ginzburg announced that anyone wanting to quench their thirst and improve their health should drink a certain type of healthy and delicious tea.
In a television interview, the expert explained that he was referring to hibiscus tea, which he believes many have tasted at least once in their lives. This tea goes by various names: red tea, Chinese rose, pharaoh's drink, Bedouin tea, but the most common and widely used name is hibiscus tea. He believes many will want to drink it once they learn about its beneficial properties.
The expert added that hibiscus tea is an excellent invigorating drink that is caffeine-free. This tea improves cardiovascular function and lowers blood pressure. Therefore, it can be considered the best drink for those suffering from hypertension.
According to him, this red tea helps stabilize metabolic processes in the body and accelerates the elimination of excess fluids, thus helping to prevent edema.
He adds that this tea has a cholagogue effect, improves liver function, and influences bile production—making it less viscous, which also reduces the risk of gallstone formation. It is beneficial for men's health.
He adds that hibiscus tea should be stored in a dark place, and one to two cups should be drunk daily.
Dr. Alexander Myasnikov, for his part, advises brewing hibiscus tea according to a specific recipe: place two teaspoons of hibiscus in cold water and let it steep for several hours or overnight.
