The director of Russia's Institute of Epidemiology, Vasily Akimkin, revealed that the coronavirus has mutated and become a seasonal illness, no longer threatening the lives of all those infected.
Akimkin stated, "We are not relaxing the measures and restrictions to control this disease, and the data indicates that the virus has become a seasonal illness and no longer requires strict restrictions."
He pointed out that the virus has mutated and no longer causes a large number of deaths, as it did in 2020.
