Treating Oily Dandruff

Using Anti-Dandruff Shampoo

Using anti-dandruff shampoo is an effective treatment for oily dandruff. Many shampoos are available, especially those containing zinc pyrithione, which acts as an antifungal and antibacterial agent, helping to reduce seborrheic dermatitis. Other shampoos contain salicylic acid, which removes dandruff from the scalp by reducing oil and drying it out. It is recommended to use conditioner after washing to prevent hair loss. Shampoo should be used daily to achieve the desired results and reduce dandruff, then two to three times a week as needed. Some shampoos lose their effectiveness after prolonged use, so it is advisable to change shampoos periodically. Always follow the instructions on the packaging of each shampoo.

Using Natural Remedies

There are many natural home remedies that can be applied to the scalp to get rid of dandruff, the most important of which are:

Aloe Vera Gel

Aloe vera gel contains antifungal and antibacterial properties, which help reduce skin inflammation and dandruff. It can be used by applying it directly to the hair. [2]

Apple Cider Vinegar

Apple cider vinegar helps remove dead skin cells that accumulate on the scalp. It also maintains the scalp's pH balance. It can be used by adding a little apple cider vinegar to your shampoo or by adding a few drops of essential oils to it and applying it to the scalp.

Aspirin

Aspirin contains salicylic acid, which helps remove dead skin cells that accumulate on the scalp. It is also an ingredient in many anti-dandruff shampoos. To use it, crush two aspirin tablets and mix them with your regular shampoo before washing your hair.

Tea Tree Oil

Tea tree oil contains antifungal and antibacterial properties that combat the fungi and bacteria that cause inflammation of the scalp, including oily scalps, which can lead to dandruff. To use it, mix 8-12 drops of tea tree oil with a little water or another oil such as olive oil or coconut oil. Apply the mixture to your scalp and massage gently.

Yogurt

Yogurt contains bacteria that contribute to improving scalp health and reducing irritation. It can be used by massaging the scalp with sugar-free yogurt after shampooing, leaving it on the hair for 10-15 minutes, then shampooing again.
